Job Summary : Responsible for overseeing Financial Reporting, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Financial Planning, and Financial Controls. Ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Reports directly to the CFO, overseeing a team of 4 including an Accounting Manager.
Viable candidates must be willing to work onsite at GSI's headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida daily.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the finance team's organization, fiscal function and performance.
- Implement internal financial controls across the organization to ensure that transactions are recorded timely and accurately and to safeguard the company's assets
- Train and assess the department and conduct training for the team.
- Design / develop policies and procedures within the finance team and across the organization.
- Ensure monthly Financial Statement close on a timely basis in accordance with GAAP
- Implement ASC 606 Revenue Recognition standards under FASB for all contracts.
- Oversee the accrual method of all general ledger accounts
- Ensure bank accounts are reconciled monthly
- Prepare and review Account Analyses, including prepaid expenses, deferred revenues, deferred costs, intangibles, fixed assets, etc.
- Oversee the annual financial statement audit
- Oversee the Accounting Manager
- Oversee and manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll process for multiple companies.
- Benefit deductions for new hires and open enrollment periods.
- Administration of the company's 401K plan.
- Manage the Accounts Payable Team.
- Review and process payroll liabilities.
- Act as Liaison between Geographic Solutions and Payroll processing company.
- Assist in shared services as needed within the Finance Team.
- Oversee Financial Planning and Analysis to develop forecasts, projections and budgets
- Perform variance analysis on key accounts
- Help drive and assist financial reporting on KPI's with Sr. Data Analyst.
