Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and finance, with a focus on tax regulations and financial analysis. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and providing insightful financial forecasts to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with accrual accounting principles.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with corporate finance regulations, including securities law and tax obligations.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
• Collaborate with management to develop financial forecasts and budgets.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
• Support estate planning through knowledge of wills, trusts, and estate law as needed.
• Provide insights into financial performance to support strategic decision-making within the organization.

Skills

• Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in corporate finance concepts, including financial acumen related to investments and capital management.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with securities law as it pertains to corporate governance.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to forecast financial trends accurately.
• Experience in wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
