Job Title: Outbound Logistics Coordinator
Contract Period: 1yr extend
Work Address: Duluth, GA 30096
Work Hours: 08:30-17:30 – OT may required
- Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and corporate policies while maintaining alignment with customer-specific requirements.
- Continuously update and refine process-specific operating procedures (PSOPs) and work instructions to enhance operational efficiency and ensure best practices.
- Proactively identify process inefficiencies and recommend strategic improvements to optimize logistics performance.
- Transportation Coordination & Execution
- Manage end-to-end coordination of FTL and LTL shipments, ensuring accurate and timely cargo bookings.
- Liaise with carriers to schedule warehouse appointments and confirm on-time cargo pickups.
- Monitor shipment progress, proactively resolving any deviations from planned schedules.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of outbound logistics operations.
- Issue Resolution & Risk Mitigation
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve transportation-related issues from booking to final delivery, minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Escalate complex challenges and implement corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to enhance operational resilience and service reliability.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Maintain continuous communication with customers, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate efficient cargo movement.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key logistics partners to enhance service levels and business continuity.
- Provide proactive shipment updates and ensure stakeholders are well-informed of potential delays or operational changes.
- Data Integrity & Documentation Management
- Ensure accuracy of logistics data entry.
- Maintain comprehensive records of shipments, customer requirements, and operational procedures for audit and compliance purposes.
- Generate and analyze reports, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and submit operational reports, including service failure analysis, claims management, and incident reporting.
- Recommend enhancements to logistics strategies based on market trends, performance data, and evolving business needs.
- Financial & Settlement Oversight
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to reconcile carrier invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Support cross-functional logistics initiatives and contribute to continuous process optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 1 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations within a corporate environment (preferred).
- Strong understanding of FTL/LTL freight processes, carrier management, and transportation regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
