GeoPoint is a land surveying company specializing in land development, geomatics, geospatial mapping, commercial surveys and subsurface utility engineering.
The Office Manager role is key in ensuring that office operations and procedures are organized and administrative functions are properly assigned and monitored. The responsibilities are diverse, with a major role in making sure that office efficiency is maintained in all areas, including facility management.
Essential Job Functions:
- Quality Control: Surveys, plats, and DS.
- Review outgoing lot survey packages and transmittals.
- Project tracking.
- Oversee staff.
- Handle staff-related issues.
- Billing.
- Petty cash/loans/reimbursements.
- Proposal review and approval.
- Assist with Proposal pricing.
- BST10 project entry review.
- All supply orders & postage.
- Schedule and coordinate all events (summer BBQ, Christmas party, employee morale lunches, etc.).
- Schedule cleaning and/or maintenance on all equip – copiers, ice machines, water machines, a/c, fire extinguishers, exit lights, AED machines, etc.
- Point of contact for HR.
- Coordinate with IT on any new equipment, computers, phones, email addresses, issues, etc.
- Assist with decisions on all EC employee pay raises and evaluations, excluding salaried employees.
- Organize and run staff and project meetings that regularly occur: daily, biweekly, bimonthly, and quarterly.
- Communicate with clients and project managers to get tasks completed.
- Review and send information to Accounts Payable when needed.
- Oversee digitally filing process of our competed jobs.
- Develop and implement ideas to improve the quality and efficiency of staff placement, and procedures.
- Timesheet, Overtime, PTO review and approval.
- Point of contact for staff for any questions or issues that arise.
- Write up and terminate employees.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently sit, stand, or walk.
- May lift, carry, push, or pull objects of various weights.
- May reach, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist.
- Some other physical demands may come up.
Work Environment:
- Desk/Workstation may be located in a confined area.
- Moderate noise indoors/outdoors (i.e., computers, phones, printers, and traffic).
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as being self-motivated and driven.
Travel:
- Some travel may be required.
