What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabrication Floor Lead (Internal) position at Geoprobe Systems®?
The Fabrication Floor Lead will be a working lead who provides leadership to team members by demonstrating and teaching standard practices, identifying and implementing improvements, and providing tactical leadership on the floor. This individual will have knowledge of company processes and resources and will have effective communication skills. Additionally, this individual will have the trust and confidence of others with an established demonstration of personal discipline, a drive to produce quality product, and strong personal integrity. Expect this position to evolve as the company grows.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership to team members, especially in the manager's absence
- Support and reinforce shop objectives
- Demonstrate and teach standard practices
- Identify best practices and/or improvements and integrate them into standard practices of the department
- Lead by example
- Tactical, on-floor leadership
- Coordinate/prioritize work assignments of team members
- Anticipate needs of co-workers (materials, tools, information, etc.)
- Problem-solve issues that arise
- Communication with team
- Use good judgement in deciding when and what information can be shared
- Maintain confidentiality as appropriate
- Positively coaches team members toward personal and departmental goals
- Communication with manager
- Concise, factual verbal activity reports regarding performance of safety, quality, delivery, and or productivity of the department
- Sensitive or difficult information
- Connect with other departments (production and engineering) to coordinate efforts and problem solve challenges
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- High level of ownership - sets the team up for success (may require arriving early or staying late) and is present when the team is at work

- Solid computer skills (emails, filing documents appropriately, SAP navigation, etc.)
- Average work week is 45-50 hours
