Forklift Driver - Production

Summary of Position:

A Production Forklift Operator job functions are related to shifting of goods and material from one place to another. The operator is also involved in loading and unloading processes as well as sorting and systematic handling of production items

Essential Duties for all Employees:

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes work safety and product integrity.

· Must follow all Safety, HACCP & GMP requirements at all times.

· Adaptable to a fast paced environment.

· Willing to be flexible to accommodate changing business conditions.

· Ensure cleanliness around facility, freezer and production area.

Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Participate in forklift certification training and annual recertification for license renewal.

2. Loading goods on to the forklift in a systematic procedure.

3. Following proper handling procedure of the goods.

4. Responsibility for conducting regular inspection of the forklift to ensure its safety and ability to performing the operations.

5. Assist in assembling goods and materials unto pallets to put on trucks for transportation.

6. Maintain and work in according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules.

7. Verify the loaded material with the order form given.

8. Coordinate work with the warehouse staff and carry out the orders of the supervisor.

9. Check, count and weigh of inventory.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Good oral and written communication skills.

3. Ability to coordinate work with co-workers and take orders from superiors

4. Awareness of the safety and official procedures for handling good and supplies

5. Ability to effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines

6. Forklift Certification preferred

7. 2 years of related experience in forklift operation (desired)

Physical Requirement

· Able to lift 50 lbs repetitiously.

· Push and pulling of pallets and lifting products are required.

· Bending, crouching and kneeling maybe required.

· May be required to re-stack or break down pallets.
