George Consulting is seeking a Acoustics Software Engineer to support a Systems Integration Test and Evaluation (SITE) Integrated Product Team (IPT) with systems engineering efforts for the TacMobile program. Candidate will work closely with the P-3 and P-8 platform interfaces as well as the Global Command and Control System (GCCS).

Candidate will work closely with the P-3 and P-8 platform interfaces as well as the Global Command and Control System (GCCS).
Roles and Responsibilities:
The successful Acoustics Software Engineer duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide TacMobile Acoustic Support System (TacMASS) support as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Support TacMASS system build, integration and developmental testing efforts.
- Interface with external MPRA customers to solve technical challenges.
- Interface with internal TacMobile customers to solve technical challenges.
- Participate in various reviews and meetings as required.
- Identify potential risks to cost, schedule and performance to the PMA Lead.
- Provide meeting support to ensure TacMobile understands future systems requirements involving other programs (CPRG, PMA264, PMA290, PMA281, etc…).
- Support PMA subsystem developmental and subsystem level testing of new products prior to entry into System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Support PMA subsystem documentation updates to include; Operations and Maintenance Manuals, drawing package, System Operational and Verification Test’s (SOVT’s), Field Change Bulletins (FCB’s), Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s), Defects, Pre-Installation Test and Check Out (PITCO) and other documents as required.
- Support technical hardware/software assessments and evaluation support for hardware upgrades, technical refreshes and changes requests due to obsolescence.
- Support PMA subsystem development, test and troubleshooting of system repairs in order to meet scheduled events.
- Support maintaining PMA subsystem Information Assurance (IA) compliant software products.
- Support development testing for planned P8A fleet releases/new capabilities in order to meet planned IOC.
- Support in Service Engineering of the current PMA related subsystems.
- Support Subsystem Testing/Training efforts.
- Support documentation updates due to software Defect corrections or Change Requests
- Support Clear Quest requirements for Impact Analysis, Cost Estimates, Defects, Change Request, Test reports, Technical Reports, Analysis of Alternatives and Recommended COAs.
- Support technical efforts to ensure in Service Engineering of the current PMA related subsystems.
- Support delivering and managing Fleet Introduction Training (FIT) on their own.
- Support updating the RTC database on related PMA subsystems defects and change requests.
- Able to collaborate with other contractor teammates and customers on a daily basis.
- Able to work closely with customers to ensure deliverables meet their expectations and arrive in a timely manner.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or related field
- At least 5 years' experience with acoustic analysis systems to include; P-8A or P-3C Acoustic sensor systems, Fast Time Analysis System (FTAS) and Tactical Mobile Acoustic Support System (TacMASS).
- At least 5 Years' experience as an Aviation System Warfare Operator (Acoustic) conducting systems and sensor data analysis.
- Proven ability to support both the subsystem analyst and technician roles for post mission processing of aircraft sensor data to include; Acoustic, Non-acoustic and Multi-Static Active.
- Ability and knowledge to conduct MPRA Mission Reconstructions to support system performance evaluations and software development efforts.
- Technical systems knowledge of the AN/TSQ-257 Tactical Mobile Acoustic Support System.
- Experience in conducting MPRA mission reconstructions to evaluate operational
- Knowledge on TacMobile related Installation Requirement Drawings (IRD) packages, Operations and Maintenance Manuals and user’s manuals.
