Production Forklift Operator

DeLallo is seeking candidates for a Production Forklift Operator at our Olive Packing facility. This position typically works full-time hours with the primary responsibilities including moving food ingredients and packaged finished food items through the use of fork lifts and other equipment, in addition to assisting in the production process as needed.

The hours for the position are Monday - Friday beginning at 6:00 AM and working until the job is completed; overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a stand-up forklift & stand up reach truck to move ingredients and finished goods
• Assist in the daily set-up and operation of the equipment as the production schedule dictates
• Maintain a steady pace and adjust as needed to match production speed requirements
• Assist with all production responsibilities, as needed
• Maintain proper levels of supplies to line and proper flow of product through various packaging stages
• Stack product or boxes of product on pallets
• Pick and return items to inventory accurately
• After completion of production run, clean and sanitize equipment and work area
• All other tasks as assigned or required
  
  

Job Requirements

• Willingness and ability to work with products that may contain gluten, cheese, tree nuts and other food allergens
• Must be able to obtain a forklift certification and also pass a Safe Food assessment
• Demonstrate a high attention to detail
• Willingness to wear company issued uniform, safety shoes, and PPE as required
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, pull, push, and stoop
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in refrigerated work environment
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment with all personality types
• High School diploma or equivalent
