Position Summary:
Program Manager II manages mid-sized aerospace programs, coordinating Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and ensuring program success. This position involves overseeing financial metrics, identifying risks, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple concurrent programs, ensuring alignment with customer and company objectives.
- Develop program plans, including risk assessments and contingency strategies.
- Lead IPTs by assigning responsibilities and monitoring progress.
- Communicate regularly with customers to provide updates and address concerns.
- Collaborate with business development to prepare bids, proposals, and cost estimates.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of program management experience required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial metrics, including WIP and earned value; experience with MS Office Suite.
- Competencies: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move between office spaces and production facilities as needed.
- Occasional travel to customer sites, requiring extended periods of sitting during transportation.
- Visual acuity for reading technical documents and monitoring program performance.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs.
