About The Department
In collaboration with the George Mason University community, and as part of the Office of the Provost, the Division for Enrollment Management optimizes student recruitment and retention by developing and implementing strategic enrollment plans, overseeing the admissions process, providing financial aid services, and managing the Mason Student Services Center—a centralized student services resource. The Division’s activities support the achievement of institutional enrollment goals by placing the student(and family) at the center of our work, supporting a culture of transparency, and leveraging data to inform decision-making.
Enrollment Services provides direct oversight and support to a variety of Enrollment Management related teams, including Integrated Enrollment Marketing, the Mason Student Services Center, and the Provost Salesforce Team, and is charged with supporting the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment of new freshmen, transfer, graduate, and non-degree students to George Mason University.
About The Position
This position will provide administrative, calendar, budgetary, and organizational support to assigned leadership roles within Enrollment Services, as well as general office support and functions for the Division of Enrollment Management, including fiscal and human resources activities.

About The Position
This position will provide administrative, calendar, budgetary, and organizational support to assigned leadership roles within Enrollment Services, as well as general office support and functions for the Division of Enrollment Management, including fiscal and human resources activities.
Responsibilities
Human Resources Liaison
- Serves as the search coordinator; assist with posting open positions, managing searches and hiring for the Enrollment Services team;
- Enters data for new wage assignments into Banner and assist new wage hires in filling out required hiring paperwork;
- Keeps Enrollment Services staff aware of important HR information by sharing information provide by HR, attending trainings, etc.; and
- Works with Enrollment Services leadership to coordinate various professional development events for the department.
- Manages Enrollment Services, Integrated Enrollment Services, and Mason Student Services Center budgetary documents, monthly reconciliation, purchases, and contacts at the director of the appropriate budgetary authorities;
- Assists with fiscal paperwork for the Division of Enrollment Management;
- Facilitates timely and correct submission of travel authorization and reimbursement forms, food and beverage authorization forms, payment request forms, P-Card paperwork, eVA purchase requisitions, and other required procedural documents as necessary; and
- Serves as the main liaison to for Enrollment Services to Mason’s Purchasing and Fiscal Services offices.
- Manages the administrative operations of the office for Enrollment Services;
- Serves as a point of contact for all office maintenance requests, including Facilities work orders, telecommunications workorders, and desk/office space considerations;
- Orders office supplies and paper, sorts and distributes office mail, sends all-staff emails and updates the weekly staff newsletter(s), as appropriate or directed; and
- Plans small events for office staff, including regular and recurring meetings.
- Provides administrative support to the Executive Director of Enrollment Services and Senior Director of Integrated Enrollment Marketing;
- Creates and manages meetings, including booking physical space and/or setting up virtual meetings at the request of the Directors; and
- In consultation with the Directors, manages the Directors’ appointment calendars and availability, answer phones, and facilitate timely and correct submission required documentation.
- Associate’s degree in related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Considerable experience managing complex budgets and analyzing budgetary reports to provide executive level summaries;
- Considerable experience managing complex calendars for director or executive level staff members;
- Considerable experience managing and organizing a fast-paced office environment, including material ordering and distribution;
- Some experience planning and managing small to medium-sized events;
- Excellent knowledge of basic computer applications and equipment, especially those related to marketing design or communication planning;
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing skills;
- Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work creatively and collaboratively with internal and external constituents;
- Ability to manage change effectively;
- Ability to be organized and detail-orientated; and
- Ability to be a creative thinker, and have intellectual curiosity to bring innovation and excellence to this key role.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field;
- Prior experience working with in a university or educational setting; and
- Prior experience with systems such as PageUp, 25Live, EVA, Banner, Microsoft Outlook, and/or similar systems
