About The Position
The Graduate Admissions Administrative Specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining all functions needed to administratively support the graduate admissions office, including maintaining supplies, managing vendors, P-card reconciliation and invoices, application database processing, and managing and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.

About The Position
The Graduate Admissions Administrative Specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining all functions needed to administratively support the graduate admissions office, including maintaining supplies, managing vendors, P-card reconciliation and invoices, application database processing, and managing and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Processes and maintains applicant files including filing supplemental materials accurately and in a timely manner, communicating with applicants via phone and email regarding application materials, and adding applicants into the university’s enterprise resource system;
- Assists with recruitment efforts including responding to applicant and prospective student inquiries (via phone and email);
- Maintains lead database, assisting with marketing materials, answering questions, and providing information to prospective and admitted students, maintaining recruitment data, and assisting with day of event duties;
- Prepares, organizes, and carries out large mailings, including mailings to applicants and materials for recruitment events;
- Purchasing and procurement of office supplies, marketing ads, registration fees, etc.; and
- Performs a variety of other related clerical and office tasks.
- Associate’s degree in related field;
- Some experience in an office environment performing clerical support (generally 6 months or more);
- Sound organizational skills;
- Skill in written and verbal communication;
- Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office suite;
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization;
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team; and
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field;
- Experience in a higher education office performing administrative support (generally, 1 or more years); and
- Customer service experience.
