We are actively recruiting a Customer Quality Engineer.
The role is based in the Greenville-Spartanburg SC Region.
Position Location: On-Site - ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
As a Customer Quality Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement and implement corrective and preventative actions to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce complaints.
What Impact Will You Make
- Ensure a safe work environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) - Report food safety issues promptly.
- Initiate corrective actions for any non-conformances
- Participate in quality manager-assigned duties
- Operate instruments to evaluate packaging quality
- Conduct statistical reviews and analyses to inform improvements
- Collaborate with the QA Manager on product holds and releases
- Serve as backup HACCP coordinator; participate in internal and supplier audits
- Assist in developing and maintaining food safety and quality programs
- Organize GMP audits alongside QA and Production teams
- Act as liaison for internal and external quality issues - Lead investigations, log complaints, and analyze root causes
- Address supplier concerns and generate necessary claims
- Spearhead CAPA initiatives and process improvement projects
- Analyze quality performance data using various tools - Support Lean tool deployment (5S, cycle time studies, etc.)
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Minimum 3 years in Quality Assurance and 2 years in project management preferred
- Familiarity with injection molding processes is a plus
- Preferred degree in Quality Assurance or related technical field
- Relevant certifications in HACCP, SQF, ISO, and Lean methodologies are advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and knowledge of quality systems (ISO, HACCP, SQF)
- Proficiency in statistics and statistical techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
