What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive BDC Representative position at George Wall Ford?
Position Summary
George Wall Ford has a job opening for a business development representative. We are looking for a candidate who will quickly become a key piece of our sales team. The goal of the BDC representative is maximizing internet and phone generated traffic in the showroom while, at the same time, directing customer inquiries and concerns to the appropriate department.
This is an area that we think has tremendous growth opportunities as the car-buying and car-servicing experience continues to change from brick and mortar to remote sales and service. We utilize Focus by Reynolds and Reynolds as our CRM. Any experience in working with Focus is extremely valuable.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly base in the range of $17-19/hr plus commission based on customer appointments and sales
- Medical coverage offered - majority funded by George Wall Ford (funding amount dependent upon type of coverage and employee tenure)

Responsibilities
- Work within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system at the direction of the General Sales Manager
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with sales personnel to prepare for customer arrival
- Stay current on product knowledge (both new and used vehicles) in order to communicate effectively with customers
- Log progress made with prospects to ensure proper follow-up
- Stay appraised of pertinent lists, such as lease terminations and customers who qualify for added incentives
- Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales
Qualifications
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Strong computer skills
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
