The unique leadership opportunity of Director of Revenue Integrity/Initiatives will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and will lead and oversee the following key areas to capture MFA revenue across the system:
- Revenue Integrity
- Charge Master review and validation
- Vendor management
This is a critical liaison role between the Revenue Cycle vendor and GW Medical Faculty Associates to ensure capture of revenue, communication on payer reimbursement changes, and collaborating with clinical departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead and oversee organization-wide Revenue Integrity and vendor charge capture functions.
- Ensure vendor integrates pricing and charge capture processes for all revenue cycle operations across organization.
- Assist clinical departments with the deployment, as well as continuous performance improvement efforts, for accurate and compliant charge submission. Drive execution and transformational change and leading-edge operations to contribute to the financial success of GW Medical Faculty Associates.
- Manage development of policies tailored to GW Medical Faculty Associates clinical operations to ensure organizational best practices.
- Oversee annual price adjustment process through pricing models and vendor contract management variance reporting.
- Oversee vendor charge integrity, reconciliation, late charge monitoring, and charge interfaces for all ancillary charging systems.
- Collaborate with billing vendor to establish and maintain charge capture audit processes, to check for appropriate coding and areas of potential revenue leakage; collaborate with Department leadership on improvement opportunities.
- Act as a conduit between the billing vendor and the Finance team to ensure that revenue recognition in Epic system is appropriately accounted for in our General Ledger.
- Oversee the development and execution of reimbursement policies and practices to improve revenue cycle processes and procedures.
- Oversee the development and execution of monitoring tools to ensure effectiveness of revenue cycle projects and processes related to revenue capture (timeliness of charge capture, DNFB, etc.).
- Oversee Revenue Cycle vendor with revenue related compliance policies, processes and tools, including analysis and interpretation of federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Represent GW Medical Faculty Associates to third party payers and regulatory agencies regarding reimbursement practices, policies, and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Health Administration is required.
- A Master’s degree in one of the above areas is preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within revenue cycle operations, revenue metrics and analytics, and revenue management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and insurance issues, healthcare industry issues and trends, legal issues in field of expertise, required third party and governmental guidelines, and work processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.
- Must be fluent in Epic and able to manipulate large amounts of data.
- Previous managerial and supervisory experience is necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Walk, bend, twist, and reach above the shoulder frequently in a clinical setting.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or carry and frequently push or pull up to 20 lbs. as part of the role
- Regularly exposed to healthcare settings that may require personal protective equipment
- Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, copier machine, and other equipment.
