Brief Description: The Associate Pastor will assist the Senior Pastor in carrying out the ministry of the church.
Minimum Requirements
- Confessing born again believer in Jesus Christ.
- Meet the character qualifications for Pastor found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
- Maintain a close personal walk with Jesus Christ.
- Ordained to the Gospel ministry or willingness to be ordained and gives evidence of divine call.
- Affirms our doctrinal statement found in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
- Assist the Senior Pastor in the overall mission and leadership of the church.
- Preach and teach as needed.
- Assist Senior Pastor in shepherding and caring for the church family: which includes outreach, contacting members, and providing counseling when needed.
- Coordinate with Senior Pastor in planning Sunday Morning and Evening worship services.
- Develop and oversee discipleship ministry of the church.
- Provide leadership and oversight to support staff.
- A willingness to lead congregational worship would be helpful if applicant is so gifted.
