What are the responsibilities and job description for the Minister to Students position at Georgia Baptist Mission Board?
Smyrna First Baptist Church is located within one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia, with Smyrna itself facing growth at unprecedented levels. This growth in the community has brought a rich cultural diversity to the doorstep of Smyrna First Baptist Church that is an ideal opportunity for local evangelism of the Gospel of Christ. The church was founded 140 years ago and has continued to be a beacon of Christ’s light in the Smyrna community through consistent outreach and ministry. Currently, the congregation of Smyrna First is transitioning to a new facility within the heart of Smyrna to better serve the existing congregation and its ministries in an effort to reach the city with the Gospel.
The Minister to Students will serve as a member of the Family Ministry and Education staff team. The position will involve oversight of the ministry to Middle Schoolers, High Schoolers and College Students through programming, parental relationships, leadership recruitment and ministry development.
