The LAA serves nearly 50,000 individuals each year, offering a broad range of evidence-based services, programs and support to help Atlanta area Latinos integrate fully and successfully into the community. Its core programs include: Family Well-Being, Domestic Violence Program, Youth Education, Immigration Services, Employment, Adult Education, Translations and Women Empowerment.
Position Purpose: With a purpose of empowering Latinas entrepreneurs to realize their full potential through economic advancement, the Latina’s Economic Empowerment Program at the Latin American Association in Dalton, GA represents a concerted effort to address the barriers that perpetuate Latina women’s low economic status. Central to this is the LAA’s strong commitment to gender equality and the promotion of women’s active economic, social and civic participation. The framework of this program is based on best practices in women’s economic empowerment to create access to resources and opportunities through culturally and linguistically appropriate education, vocational training, entrepreneurship and advocacy.
The LAA seeks a talented professional with strong program management, training and economic development experience for the position of Latina’s Economic Empowerment Program Manager. The Program Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of all activities related to the program at the Latin American Association.

The Program Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of all activities related to the program at the Latin American Association.
Key responsibilities: The Latina’s Economic Empowerment Program Coordinator based in Dalton, GA will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in the daily coordination of the implementation of the Latina’s Economic Empowerment Program at the Latin American Association in NWGA
- Recruit Latina entrepreneurs to participate in workshops, classes and other events
- Coordinate and conduct special events such as workshops, conferences, meetings
- Coordinate and conduct community outreach events to promote the program
- Conduct post-events surveys to monitor program effectiveness
- Develop and maintain relationship with the Dalton business ecosystem
- Provide support for client follow-up
- Maintain client files and use the Efforts to Outcomes database and other tools to collect and maintain data for program optimization (JotForm, Google, other platforms)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Fluency in both English AND Spanish is REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is desirable
- Minimum of 1-year of experience in business development, entrepreneurship, or workforce development in a non-profit setting preferred
- Demonstrated interest and experience in women’s entrepreneurship and enterprise development
- Ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, evaluate program effectiveness, and adjust as necessary
- Experience coordinating events is preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of the needs of the Latino community in the Dalton and the NWGA
- Excellent presentation and written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English
- Good degree of proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power Point is required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong leadership abilities
- Adaptability to changing situations and environments
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail and the ability to plan effectively.
