Are you looking for a career in the beverage alcohol industry? Then come join our team at Alabama Crown Distributing Co. as an Off-Premise Sales Representative. Alabama Crown is a full-service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- To regularly call on established accounts within a specific territory, promoting and selling the full range of Alabama Crown's products.
- Must have overall product knowledge, properly inventory and survey the store for sales opportunities, and have a positive, mutually productive relationship with the account.
- Must achieve all assigned sales goals, achieve new distribution, shelf adjacencies, cold box adjacencies and display goals.
- Promote monthly programs and pricing, keep up with the market trends and conditions and be aware of competitive activities.
- Sales reps should understand Alabama Crown's policies and procedures, keep accurate account records and route books, keep monthly and daily preplans and work accounts within the applicable delivery schedules.
- Must be accurate in taking and placing orders and assist, when necessary, in collection and special problems.
- Must communicate with suppliers in promoting and building their brands.
- Must be on time to all meetings and be prepared with requested information. If called upon, they should actively participate in meetings
Qualifications
• Must be at least 21 years of age.• High School diploma/GED equivalent.• 2 years outside sales experience preferred (preferably in the beverage industry).• Computer proficiency to include but not limited to: Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook.• Must have the ability to communicate professionally/effectively in both written and verbal forms.• Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.• Ability to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.• Must be able to have flexible working hours.• Must possess a valid Alabama driver’s license.• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.• Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…).• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.• Motor vehicle record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility: no DUI, reckless driving or hit and run in the past 5 years. No more than two moving violations in the past three years.• Drug Free Workplace• EOE
