Georgia Crown is a full-service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. The position is responsible for maximizing the sales of supplier brands to the trade through effective territory planning, selling, merchandising and communication that enables the achievement of company and supplier objectives.
Responsibilities
Fulltime Position – Must be able to travel throughout sales territory, visit customer locations, receive, and transmit customer orders, via handheld PC. Must ensure product representation and good customer service.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:• Maintain a weekly itinerary for all accounts with scheduled call back days along with corporate account calls• Follow procedure and achieve all sales goals and quotas• Carry out all phases of job responsibilities as directed by upper management.• Develop and maintain communication with new accounts, providing customized proposals when necessary• Develop marketing plans and strategies to achieve long term goals and opportunities. To also include the support of our Supplier network.• Ability to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.• Work in conjunction with the office staff, warehouse, delivery, corporate office, and Human Resources to ensure a teamwork atmosphere and maintain a positive attitude.• Attend all sales meetings promptly and with enthusiasm• Continual self education and knowledge of new and existing products in the company portfolio and competitive portfolios.• Keep up with tracking goals and administrative detail• Show professionalism in all areas at all times:Attire, Conduct, Time Management, Relationships, Proper/Thorough Follow-up, Sales Presentations/Proposals
Qualifications
• Must be at least 21 years of age.• 1-year minimum outside sales experience in the beverage industry (wholesale, supplier, restaurant, or hotel experience preferred).• High School diploma/GED equivalent.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Computer proficiency to include but not limited to: Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.• Excellent interpersonal, communication, mathematical, time management, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work.• Attention to detail• Ability to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.• Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license.• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.• Must be licensable under the guidelines determined by the state alcohol regulations. • Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…).• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.• Motor vehicle record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility: no DUI, reckless driving or hit and run in the past 5 years. No more than two moving violations in the past three years.• Drug Free Workplace• EOE• Working schedule varies, candidate must understand there may be late night and weekend events he/she will be expected to attend. A traveling filing system will be key to maintain and manage accounts: candidate will be expected to keep files updated and current (files to include account history, wine lists, drink lists and any other important information that is needed to manage the territory).
