This position is located in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia).

Pay Grade: KUnder general supervision, provides analysis, research and technical expertise in a specific area of personnel within an organization. Assists with projects that have a significant impact to the agency.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Serve as primary Point of Contact (POC) for matters related to the implementation and monitoring of the Georgia as a Model Employer initiative.
- Serve as POC for matters related to ADA requests, inquiries and concerns.
- Develop and implement internal measures and/or reports documenting ADA compliance agency wide.
- Maintain a record of all accommodation requests, issues and resolutions.
- Participate in investigations of allegations of discrimination and non-compliance under the ADA and other applicable federal and state laws regarding discrimination on the basis of disability and program accessibility.
- Ensure appropriate processes are in place to provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints and inquiries from DHS employees, as well as public compliance with the ADA and other applicable federal and state laws regarding discrimination on the basis of disability and program accessibility.
- Develop and facilitate ADA and disability awareness training for staff relating.
- Educate internal business partners and employees on the appropriateness of recommended accommodations.
- High school diploma/GED AND two (2) years of job-related experience in human resources;
- One (1) year of experience required at the lower level HR Spec 1 (HRP020) or position equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2) or more years experience processing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) cases.
- One (1) or more years experience managing Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) cases.
- Knowledge of Department of Labor (DOL) policies and procedures.
