Position: Production Associate/ Cutter ($14.00 hr. / Full Time with Benefits)
- Work Location : Warehouse / Production Environment
- Work Hours : 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday thru Friday)
Position Summary : As a Cutter for Georgia Expo, you will be responsible for the proper measuring and cutting of fabric in accordance with sales orders.
Areas of Responsibility :
Production
- Responsible for reading sales orders to gain information regarding fabric type, measurements, priority, quantity, etc.
- Use information gained from sales order to properly measure and cut materials to be transferred to the Sewing Machine Operators.
- Lift and move materials on the loading racks to proper slots for cutting material.
- Properly and accurately measure materials while inspecting for quality prior to cutting.
- Allow Floater to measure and inspect initial cut items on an order to verify proper measurements and quality.
- Utilizing cutting machine safely and accurately cut materials to fully complete requirements listed on sales order within time frame provided by management.
Safety
- Utilize proper lifting techniques when moving fabric rolls located on the loading racks or any other materials.
- Follow proper safety measures when using the cutting machines or any other Georgia Expo equipment.
Skill Requirements :
- Self-motivated and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational & time management skills.
Experience and Education Requirements :
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or higher preferred, but not required.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking communication skills preferred
