Job Description Job Description This position is responsible for hospital, funeral home, hospice, coroner / medical examiner relationships and education of Georgia Eye Bank and its mission. All responsibilities should be performed within the scope of GEB's mission, vision and values.Essential Duties / Responsibilities : Performs educational visits made to donor referral sources.Performs community outreach and coordinates donor awareness events.Follows up on Non-Recovered Donors.Prepares and sends quarterly reports to donor hospitals.Prepares education and development plans.Distributes updated professional service agreements, COIs and W-9s as needed.Attends professional association conferences as assigned by Director of Public & Professional Education.Develops and updates posts for GEB’s social media accounts.Obtains and provides donor referral sources contacts / phone numbers to appropriate office staff.Resolves conflicts and performs necessary follow-up.Responsible for identifying the process for EMR integration with GEB.Maintains operational files for areas of responsibility.Provides reports to Director of Public & Professional Education.Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Public & Professional Education.Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college / university preferred.Willingness to work weekends / evenings to complete tasks.Valid driver’s license and insured automobile.Demonstrates ability to interface effectively with funeral home personnel, coroners / medical examiners, hospice employees, physicians, nurses and other hospital personnel, as well as peers.Advanced written and verbal communication skills.Excellent time management and effective problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated resourcefulness with strong analytical skills.Able to work autonomously with minimum oversight.Company Description Georgia Eye Bank is IMPROVING VISION AND LIVES through transplantation of ocular tissue and cells, innovation, research, education, and collaboration to advance treatments and patient outcomes.Founded in 1961, Georgia Eye Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which is an accredited member of the Eye Bank Association of America and registered with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
