What are the responsibilities and job description for the Media Innovation Center - Film Studies position at Georgia Highlands College?
Preform various duties related to Film Studies and Humanities area.
Must be a current GHC student and must be Financial Aid eligible
Responsibilities
- Produce media for and Film Studies and other Humanities associated endeavors
- Organize and maintain video production equipment in the Media Innovation Center
- Assist in communications and planning of events
- Administrative duties and record keeping
- Communicate with filmmakers and community partners
- Recruit and organize student volunteers for events
- Create and manage social media assets
- Support the operations of events related to Humanities such as the Rome International Film Festival and GHC’s Writing Conference.
Required Qualifications
- Experience sufficient in administrative duties, verbal and written communications, event planning and support, various levels of media production.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
- Must be Pell Grant eligible (FAFSA)
- Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Must have an unmet need based on total cost of attendance of student
- Must be current GHC Student
Proposed Salary
$12 per hour

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Preferred experience in communications and planning, video production, and general office administrative skills
- Video Editing
- Knowledge of Word Processing and Spreadsheet software, ability to communicate on various digital platforms.
- Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions
- Skill in oral and written communication
