Job description
The Senior Business Analyst (Agency Initiatives) role will lead the coordination and implementation of sales initiatives for Combined US Agency, which consists of captive and independent agents selling Voluntary Benefits (Supplemental Accident & Health). They will lead and collaborate with IT and other functional areas to define business requirements, support develop, and execute UAT plans, and ensure the success implementation of large-scale initiatives.
The role is a key to the Agency Initiative and Enablement / Sales Tools and Technology team. This team is responsible for working with IT and business units who are introducing changes or new tools to our agents and or field leaders. Support includes but is not limited to developing business requirements, UAT, end user support, facilitating working sessions with key IT and business partners to drive end user or project solutions, etc. Primary projects will GCAP optimization and the countrywide launch of iONIC in Q1. This support role is needed so the currently Agency Initiative & Enablement Manager to pivot to support the buildout and launch of Agency Portal in 2023.
We are flexible on location between Chicago and remote; however, Chicago candidates will be prioritized. There may future opportunities to extend the contract or hire if the person demonstrates strong leadership and an ability to produce high quality deliverables
Key Activities
- Lead the coordination of Sales initiatives
- Develop, optimize, and communicate enhancements in line with the long-term sales vision
- Stay current on industry trends and with similar programs across industries to identify best practices and ways to drive continual growth and effectiveness of Combined's programs
- Maintain a roadmap of all initiatives that impact Sales
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop process that best support Sales
- Lead a variety of sales initiatives that promote Sales
- Collaborate with sales and field team members, business partners to develop and implement Sales projects
- Manage cross-functional project timeline and follow-up with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Track overall project budget and performance metrics, as required
- Work directly with functional area managers / leadership to resolve issues that impact completion of project objectives : determine when to escalate issues to appropriate levels of management
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including both internal senior management and external business partners
