Job Summary:

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Practical Nursing adjunct instructors for OB, pediatrics and Med/Surg. GNTC Faculty may be asked to teach courses on any of our campus locations and may also teach dual enrolled students. May be required to travel to other campuses to meet operational requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with faculty to meet the needs of the students

• Provides a variety of learning experiences consistent with the program mission, philosophy and nursing education outcomes

• Implements, operates, and participates in clinical activities to guarantee a high quality, safe, and consistent clinical experience

• Proficiency in MS software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Internet and database applications

• Actively participates in departmental committees

• Demonstrates effective working relationships with individuals and groups

• Actively participate in professional development

• Other duties assigned

Required Qualifications:

Associate Degree Nursing. Minimum of three (3) years of licensed nursing practice within the last seven (7) years. Current Georgia nursing license. Be in good standing from the initial date of employment as a registered professional nurse. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

BSN Degree. Previous teaching experience. Clinical experience in one of the following areas: Med/Surg; pediatrics; OB.

Physical Demands:

Work is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects to a light to medium weight. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.

If the job involves driving, physical requirements include the ability to operate a vehicle and sit for extended periods.

Salary: ASN- $33.66 per hour; BSN & higher- $38.76 per hour

If this is a part-time position, no benefits are available.
