Clinical Adjunct Instructor, Practical Nursing
Title : Adjunct Instructor, Practical Nursing, 12 month
Classification : Part-Time
Office Location : TCAT- McMinnville, 241 Vo Tech Dr., McMinnville, TN 37110
Hours : 6 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM, Monday and Wednesday, or as needed to fulfill duties of the position.
Salary : $35.00 per hour
Supervises : N / A
Reports to : Nursing coordinator
Minimum Qualifications :
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Must hold an active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in the nursing field within the last 5 years.
- Minimum of three (3) years current clinical nursing experience.
- High level skills in oral and written communication;
- Evidence of strong work ethic as it relates to timeliness of reporting, oversight of multiple on-going projects, and the ability to work with others;
- Proficient computer skills;
- Ability to deal tactfully with the students, public, and co-workers; to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions; and
- Possess a valid TN driver's license.

General Duties :
The part-time Clinical Adjunct is responsible for teaching and supervision of nursing students in on-campus classroom / lab and off-campus clinical settings; evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; participating in the development of the program, and other assigned duties. This position reports to the Health Careers Coordinator. This part-time position will be for two 11-hour clinical days per week, Mondays and Wednesday, from 6 : 30 Am until 6 : 00 PM.

The Clinical Adjunct Instructor is responsible for performing the following duties :
Demonstrate a commitment to student success.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA REQUIREMENTS)
Walking, climbing, bending, and stooping. Work performed in office, testing center and classroom environments. Position requires the use of a computer.
Sedentary Work - Walking or standing to a significant degree; sitting for brief periods of time; be able to bend and stoop; use body members (arms, hands, fingers).
SALARY : $35.00 per hour

Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Instructors will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT- McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following : Sex Offender Registry, County Criminal &Federal Criminal.
