Job Description
This role is responsible for processing and closing U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 7a loans and U.S. Department of Agriculture Business and Industry (USDA B&I) loans. You will work closely with loan officers, borrowers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of these critical processes. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high-quality standards in our lending operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers in gathering information from borrowers for underwriting and loan approval.
- Prepare loan packages for submission to the SBA and enter loan data into ETRAN.
- Pull reports, compare tax returns, and perform other essential tasks to facilitate loan closings.
- Create and maintain borrower files, order appraisals, and generate lists of necessary documentation.
- Work with loan officers and attorneys to complete loan closings, verify borrower equity, and review post-closing packages for completeness and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of previous commercial lending experience, preferably in government lending.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and guidelines.
- A keen sense of urgency and initiative, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
