What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Analyst or Principal Analyst, Capital Program position at Georgia Transmission Corporation?
Manage, Improve and Responsible for the various corporate financial models including those used for monthly Capital Projections, annual Capital Budgeting, Resource Planning & Long-Range Capital Forecast. All work products are completed independently using multiple databases and analysis/reporting tools. Create highly complex ad-hoc queries/reports at both the project & program levels using multiple databases & reporting tools. Act as Subject Matter Expert for Capital Program Reporting. Represent focus area and provide cross-functional team leadership. Take lead role in troubleshooting all Capital Program work products. Manage and Responsible for multiple, scheduled standard financial reports. Create and edit highly complex cost/resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera Project Management software. Collaborate with the Manager-Project Controls to identify and incorporate new tools, techniques, methodologies, and technologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of various capital forecasts. Support the communication and translation of grant project data from Project Reporting to Finance & Accounting. Performs special projects as requested.
Education: BA/BS or MBA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Senior Analyst - Six (6) years of experience with scheduling, budgeting, financial project management and forecasting with at least two years of leadership responsibilities. Principal Analyst - Eight (8) years of experience with scheduling, budgeting, financial project management and forecasting with at least five years of leadership responsibilities.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Preferred certification(s): CFA, CMA, CIA, CPA, PMP
Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Must have expert knowledge in the use of relational databases, systems integration, MS Access/SQL & MS Excel. Either has - or has the ability to quickly gain - advanced competency in the use of Primavera Project Management software. Knowledge of PowerBI is also a plus. Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required.
