What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at GeoSurfaces?
The Accounts Payable Clerk will provide support to an energetic, fast-paced, growing team with general accounting functions, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Invoice payment – including verifying data, scheduling, and issuing payments.
- Prepare financial reports after collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Reconciliation of statements and transactions.
- Customer service resolution.
- Investigation and resolution of any account discrepancies.
- Maintenance of financial records.
- Clear, concise, and professional communication, both written and verbal, with co-workers, vendors, and customers to collect necessary information.
- Mail sorting and distribution.
- Telephone answering, using Ring Central system.
- Assist the management team, as needed, with projects as they arise, as well as assisting in improving processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Entering, approving, and reconciling credit card transactions.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Accounting practices.
- Professional and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer Service attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience with QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in the Construction Industry is preferred but not required.
- Ability to multi-task.
