We have an immediate opening for a technician in our Lansing, MI location. Must be a hands on individual but direct industry experience is not required. In this position there is room for advancement and a candidate with previous technician/mechanical experience is an added plus. We offer a solid benefits package which includes health, dental and life insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan. This is a full time, dayshift position which requires a commitment of 40 hours a week Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities available. Starting wages are based on previous experience.
Role includes, but is not limited to:
· Cleaning, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining new and used environmental
equipment
· Basic understanding of electrical work
· Providing customer service to customers in person and over the phone
· Providing technical support and equipment training to customers in person, over the
phone and by webcam
· Prioritizing tasks to ensure timely process completion
· Optimizing customer interactions to learn about customer needs and the industry
· Shipping and receiving of equipment and orders
· Taking and fulfilling customers' orders
· Logging customer interactions/conversations in client relation management database
· Proofing and maintaining documented work procedures
· Counting, maintaining, and requesting inventory
· Helping keep a clean and safe office and work environment
Minimum Qualifications:
· Ability to pass a drug test
· Reliable transportation
· Good problem solving skills
· Mechanical aptitude
· Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
· Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions
· Strong organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Soldering skills a plus
· Proficient in basic electronic circuitry and components
· Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or 5S principles a plus.
