As a Senior Manager in Energy Procurement Consulting, you'll play a key role in advising and driving strategic procurement initiatives for our clients, empowering them to optimize their energy spend, improve efficiency, and transition to a sustainable energy future. This is your opportunity to make a real impact while leveraging your expertise in energy markets, procurement strategies, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Energy Procurement:
- Lead end-to-end energy procurement initiatives, including renewable energy sourcing (e.g., PPAs), utility contracts, and demand-response programs.
- Analyze market trends, regulatory landscapes, and clients need to design tailored procurement strategies.
- Supplier engagement:
- Identify and qualify potential suppliers and lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms
- Collaborate with project managers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Owners Engineers, and other stakeholders to understand the specific requirements and strategically procure Capex for brownfield and greenfield projects
- Client Advisory & Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor for clients, providing expert insights on energy sourcing, risk management, and cost optimization.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional consulting engagements.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of energy procurement consultants, fostering growth, collaboration, and innovation.
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Market Intelligence:
- Stay ahead of energy market developments, including policy changes, emerging technologies, and price fluctuations.
- Translate data into actionable insights for client procurement strategies and internal process improvement.
- Operational Excellence:
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions, supplier negotiations, and contract management efforts to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and technology adoption in the energy procurement lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 8 years of experience in energy procurement, consulting, or a related field.
- Proven track record in renewable energy sourcing, market analysis, and large-scale procurement strategy development.
- Experience working with complex energy markets and regulations (e.g., PPA negotiations, deregulated markets).
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of energy procurement strategies, including traditional and renewable energy.
- Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical mindset with expertise in data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in energy procurement tools, data platforms, and market research tools.
