Concrete General Laborer

We are looking to expand our team by adding additional General Laborers to support and drive the completion of the overall project in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform duties on construction projects (usually working in a utility capacity)
• Transferring tasks depending on the demands required by the project
• Ability to understand and execute task with minimal supervision
• Learn knowledge within the construction industry to complete job functionality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds individually or on a team lift
• Have basic knowledge or ability to learn to Utilize basic hand tools to complete tasks at hand.
• Have basic knowledge or ability to learn to Utilize small hand and power tools effectively and efficiently.
• Have basic knowledge or ability to learn to Properly and effectively operate mechanical hammers
• Have basic knowledge or ability to learn to Commercial level Rebar Tying
• Have basic knowledge or ability to learn to Assemble 4-to-8-foot concrete panels
• Have basic knowledge or ability to learn to Assemble forming systems
• Have basic knowledge or ability to learn to do Concrete Forming
• Have basic knowledge or ability to Erect Scaffolding properly, effectively, and efficiently
• Have basic knowledge or ability to Spread concrete into hard-to-reach sections of forms using proper concrete tools
• Have basic knowledge or ability to Position, align, and seal pipe sections
• Have basic knowledge or ability to Experience using floats, trowels, and screeds to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs
• Have basic knowledge or ability to Shape materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and planes
• Have basic knowledge or ability to Cut and shaping materials and fasten them together with nails, screws, ETC.
• Have basic knowledge or ability to Prepare layouts, determine quantity sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from sketches or oral instructions
• Professional Communication

o Construction Related Vocabulary-ability to learn proper vocabulary

• Basic Computer Skills

o Navigating websites

o Various Platforms

o Phone Apps

Preferred Qualifications

• Current First Aid & AED certification
• OSHA 10
