Position Summary
The Associate Product Manager (APM) supports the Fixtures Product Management team in management of the product life-cycle for the plumbing fixtures product category. The APM will be supporting new product development, market analysis and research, competitive analysis, project management, forecasting and sales support for both Gerber and Private Brand products.
The Associate Product Manager is responsible for supporting new product development including business case development, understanding and defining the product specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teammates to support product launches and on-going product training. This individual is also responsible for the day-to-day management of product related issues, in collaboration with the Product Manager, covering both Gerber and Private Brand products.

Position Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop Expertise in fixtures
- Understand and share market composition, segmentation, and trend data including pricing, function and design
- Provide launch content for marketing materials, collateral, training, etc.
- Support in the development of product training sessions and materials for internal and external customers
- Support cross functional teams with information to support customers
- Become the communications window to our internal Customer Care and Technical Service teams for fixtures’ technical support
- Product Development
- Support the New Product Development (NPD) process in conjunction with our global Project Management, Engineering, Design and Manufacturing teams
- Conduct competitive product assessments and understand product positioning strategies
- Technical execution of product specification documents
- Partner with sales team to understand Private Brand customer strategy and support specific NPD activities through the Product Managers
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and presenting short- and long-term product roadmaps
- Support the Product Management team by maintaining our project file structure, executing and maintaining integrity and accuracy of Product Roadmap documents, NPD project files and folders, meetings notes, etc.
- Assist the product managers in generating and maintaining product data that is required for our ERP system and those of customers – including E-comm.
- Analysis & Research
- Support Product Manager in analysis, data collection and documentation related to product lifecycle management
- Pricing
- Provide support in pricing-related activities: competitive research, data management, and implementation
- Financial Analysis and Metrics
- Measure, analyze, and report on product performance utilizing financial data, sales trends, and industry information
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering or product development, preferred but not required
- Technical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills
- 3-5 years of direct and hands-on experience in a product development or product management role, ideally with durable consumer goods
- Preferred experience with wholesale, retail, and E-commerce sales channels
- Bright, analytical, detailed and goal-oriented with high standards for quality and performance
- Highly organized and some experience with product data
- Ability to effectively work with others from different cultures, work habits, and management styles to achieve common objectives
- Ability to collaborate with global team outside of normal business hours
- Hardworking, action-oriented, and results driven
- Self-directed, with strong ability to deliver quality results in situations involving risk and ambiguity
- Ability to prioritize and execute successfully when faced with shifting priorities and a variety of deliverables
- Solid business and financial acumen – able to understand the bottom-line implications of new product development activities
- Ability to help identify and evaluate design trends and aesthetic product characteristics
- Proficiency is MS Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel for product development, customer meetings, market research and trade shows
- Demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” initiative to get the job done
- Willingness to take on additional projects as needed
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
