What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Estimator position at Gerelco Electrical Contractors, Inc?

We currently employ over 200 skilled field personnel throughout the state and have one of the most experienced management teams in South Florida. With the principles of our team having over 300 years of combined experience.

The Project Estimator is responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on assigned projects.
Essential Functions
· Attend pre-bid conference and site tours with owners and set up the same with subcontractors as needed.
· Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
· Prepares bid information in McCormick and B2W software.
· Submit complete bid package to customer by deadline.
· Communicate effectively and professionally with architects, engineers, project managers, owners, and vendors.
· When project is won conduct and organize a turnover meeting to review all bid documents and scope of work with Project Manager.
Travel
Daily travel between office and job locations is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
· 5 years of progressive estimating experience – task related
· Experience with McCormick and B2W Estimating software
· Must possess excellent computer skills
· Must have and maintain a clean, valid Florida driver’s license.
· Must be able to stay focused for long periods of time.
