The CNC Machined Parts Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections of CNC-machined components to verify conformance to engineering drawings, customer requirements, and industry specifications. This role involves using precision measurement tools, interpreting GD&T, and collaborating with machining and engineering teams to maintain the highest quality standards.

• Inspection & Quality Control:- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on CNC-machined aluminum components.

  • Utilize calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, optical comparators, and other precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T callouts, and customer specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Documentation & Reporting:- Record and maintain detailed inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

  • Assist in preparing FAI (First Article Inspection) reports per AS9102 standards when required.
  • Provide feedback to CNC Machinists and Programmers regarding dimensional issues or potential process improvements.

• Continuous Improvement & Compliance:- Identify and report quality defects or deviations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

  • Work closely with the Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to address quality concerns and refine inspection processes.
  • Support internal and external audits related to AS9100 and other applicable industry standards.
  • Assist in calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Experience:- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality inspection of CNC-machined components in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in aerospace, medical, or high-precision manufacturing is a plus.

• Technical Skills:- Strong proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMMs, height gauges, optical comparators, etc.).

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Experience with CMM programming (PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or similar software) is a plus.

• Soft Skills:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess quality issues and recommend solutions.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced production environment.

• Physical Requirements:- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machining processes.

Competitive hourly rate based on experience, estimated between $21 and $25 per hour, with opportunities for overtime.
