Responsibilities
- Lead a crew of 2–5 team members on various maintenance and landscape projects.
- Operate and oversee the use of equipment such as mowers, line trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers.
- Ensure the proper execution of scheduled jobs, including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, planting, mulching, and cleanup.
- Perform and monitor basic irrigation system checks and minor repairs, if applicable.
- Communicate job expectations and provide training to new or less experienced crew members.
- Conduct morning load-up and ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are ready for the day.
- Drive crew truck and trailer to and from job sites safely.
- Report job progress, crew performance, and any issues to the Production Manager or Supervisor.
- Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards.
- Complete daily paperwork or app-based reporting accurately, such as timesheets and job notes.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in lawn maintenance or landscaping required; leadership experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- DOT medical card.
- Ability to lead by example, communicate clearly, and work well in a team.
- Knowledge of proper horticultural practices and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
