Gerharz Equipment is the premier provider of restaurant equipment, parts and supplies in Central New York for over 50 years.
Our Warehouse/Delivery Department is looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. We are seeking a motivated individual with Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse experience. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a clean New York State Driver’s License. Candidates must also pass a standard DOT physical and a background check.
Specific job duties include but are not limited to:
- Shipping and Receiving using inventory management system
- Unloading and loading trucks
- Preparing outgoing shipments
- Assembling equipment
- Securing shipments to prevent damage during transit
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Inventory
- Performing basic warehouse duties as required
Requirements:
Forklift and material handling equipment experience
Highly organized with high level of efficiency
Careful attention to detail and extreme level of accuracy
Self-motivated and ability to work independently
Sense of urgency and able to perform in fast paced environment
Problem solving and analytical skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer proficiency
Knowledge of foodservice equipment and/or appliances a plus
This is a full-time position and typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm. Overtime pay for over 40 hours at time and a half.
