As the Service Manager, you will oversee the service department. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring high quality service delivery and fostering a positive work environment for the team. This is a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.
- Train and mentor service technicians on best practices in automotive repair and customer interaction.
- Implement effective service writing processes to accurately document services performed and communicate with customers.
- Promote upselling of services and products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support automotive sales initiatives and provide accurate auto estimating.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service department.
- Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of Service Manager experience with at least 3 years at a Toyota store
- Ability to coach/train while maintaining high performance expectations.
- ADP/CDK experience a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients.
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and auto estimating practices is preferred.
- Ability to effectively train and motivate a team fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation of services provided.
