Job Title : Accounting Intern
Overview :
As an accountingintern you will be working in our Jasper or Evansville location partneringwith a leader and mentor on a strategic project. Through project research, you will uncoversolutions and present recommendations to the leadership team. In addition tothe strategic project, you will also gain greaterinsight into specific accounting standards and critical corporate accountingoperations.
What You'll Do :
Dayin the Life - You will be digging into a project that impacts the accounting team. Over the summer, youwill follow an experience and development plan to guide your progress and learnhow financial accounting standards can be applied in a real world scenario. You will gather and input data, compilefinancial analysis and reporting, communicate and follow-up with otherdepartments and brainstorm with your team todetermine how to complete the project. Your program capstone includes a formalpresentation to share information about your project and provide arecommendation for the best next steps to carry the project forward.
Whatit Takes - This internship is for an undergraduate student in pursuit of aBachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited college / university with a minimumGPA 2.8 (cumulative). To thrive in this role you must have outstanding workethic, project and time management skills, strong written and verbalcommunication skills, attention to detail and ability to work well individuallyand in teams. Being highly motivated, resourceful and results-driven will helpyou to complete the necessary milestones of the project. You will use your strongquantitative skills, including the abilities to analyze data sets and apply financialand analytical theories. Access to reliable transportation for various trainingand networking events is required.
