Job Summary
We are seeking a Line Cook to join the team at our busy restaurant. In this position, you will be responsible for using high-quality ingredients to prepare delicious meals for our customers. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle food safely
- Maintain product presentations, product quality and cook time standards
- Maintain kitchen work area, equipment, plateware and utensils in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition
- Assist other cooks, prep, and dish as necessary
- Thorough knowledge of menu item builds
- Prepare foods to be cooked in accordance with recipes and allergies and dietary restrictions of guests
- Sweep and mop kitchen nightly
- Wipe and sanitize counters, cooking surfaces and equipment nightly
- Clean refrigerators and remove outdated or otherwise unsafe, unsanitary or risky food, beverages or ingredients
- Remove trash from kitchen and put in dumpster daily
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous cooking experience required
- Previous experience with banquets or catering preferred
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
Salary : $18 - $25
