Germanna Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. As a comprehensive community college, Germanna provides quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities for the residents of the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Caroline, Culpeper, King George, Madison, Orange, Spotsylvania and Stafford.
The Dental Department at Germanna Community College is currently seeking clinical adjunct professors to serve as supervising dentists in the following areas:
Dental Assisting I and II – This role includes the delivery of restorative dental services and the clinical oversight of students assisting.
Dental Hygiene – This role includes the supervision of dental hygiene students and examination and treatment planning of patients for comprehensive dental care.
Roles in both programs include the opportunity for teaching didactic portions of the curriculum as expertise in particular subjects may be needed

- Must be licensed DDS in the state of Virginia
- For the Dental Assisting position a CDA from the Dental Assisting National Board and a Bachelor’s degree is required
- For the Dental Hygiene position you must be a Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor’s degree is required
- Complete Growing with Canvas and TOPS 2.2 prior to teaching (will be provided by the college)
- Prior teaching experience
- Work experience in the field
- Experience with on-line teaching
- For the Dental Hygiene position a Master’s of Science is preferred
- Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools
