Position Title: Middle School History Teaching Fellow
Germantown Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school located on a beautiful 126-acre campus in the Fort Washington suburbs near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. •Have 0-3 years of teaching experience and a strong desire to teach middle school students history using best pedagogical practices
•Hold a degree in history or history education and are interested in pursuing a career in teaching

Core Job Responsibilities
This role is a full-time teaching position with the following major responsibilities:
•Teach two or three sections of Middle School history (6th, 7th, and/or 8th grade, depending on departmental needs)
•Assist with class coverages across various disciplines in Middle School
•Serve as a co-advisor/advisor for a group of approximately 12 Middle School students
•Be a leader in the school’s co-curricular program in meaningful ways outside the classroom by coaching, leading extra-curricular activities, etc. Teaching Fellows are expected to coach at least two (and preferably three) Middle or Upper School athletic seasons.
•Other responsibilities including attending regular faculty meetings, professional learning communities, in-service days, and other supervision duties as assigned.
