What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspection Equipment Specialist position at Gerresheimer?
Under the direction of the Cold End Manager, verifies and assists in a variety of electronic setup, maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimum quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review the job change schedule for the current week.
- Assist crewmembers in executing job change in the Cold End as needed.
- Train departmental employees during job change.
- Confirm all cold end equipment is set-up properly and functioning.
- Conducts periodic inspections of cold end equipment and takes corrective actions when necessary.
- Training employees on cold end repairs/corrective actions is required.
- Troubleshoot any piece of equipment that is not properly functioning.
- Will be actively involved in project work and process improvements.
- Verifies preventative maintenance work orders.
- Maintain database for machine histories, set-ups and PM’s.
- Maintain part storage cabinets.
- Maintain communications with company cell phone
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Communicates the following with Cold End Maintenance Mechanics:
- Any problems with equipment during the shift.
- Hard to remove defects running on lines.
- Any special instructions.
- Any machine changes made during the preceding shift or shifts.
- Report out to the Supervisor the duties performed during the day.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Some college preferred
- Must have electronics experience
- Experience as a Journeyman Industrial Repairer with the Cold End Maintenance Department
