We’re looking for a driven and self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our Professional Turf team. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in growing our wholesale product lines and supporting the success of our assigned accounts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Build, maintain, and expand customer relationships to drive sales growth across all wholesale product lines.
- Support the growth and success of assigned accounts by meeting sales targets and objectives.
- Provide coaching and professional development to sales associates to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Follow up with customers and offer solutions to any concerns or issues that arise.
- Establish and nurture productive, professional relationships with key personnel within assigned customer accounts.
- Collaborate with other company teams (support, management, etc.) to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operations.
- Proactively conduct visits and meetings with clients to assess their needs and satisfaction.
- Identify new opportunities for additional products and services to present to clients.
- Develop proposals and presentations for new business and product offerings.
- Collaborate with vendors and buyers to optimize product offerings and maintain strong partnerships.
- Meet or exceed sales goals for enhancement and maintenance services for new business outside of existing client portfolios.
- Assist in the development of marketing materials such as flyers or strategies to increase business.
- Process sales transactions and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Attend company meetings, trade shows, and events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Horticulture or a related field.
- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the turf care or landscaping industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and comprehend written procedures.
- A strong client-service orientation, self-starter, and ability to take ownership of your work.
- Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance, design, and turf care.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. numerous times per shift.
- Ability to talk, hear, and see clearly.
- Ability to lift 50-60 lbs regularly.
