Our Dunmore, Pa based headquarters is seeking an experienced Technician for our expanding Maintenance division. If you are goal-oriented, ambitious, you should join our team. POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible to optimize the production and packing of goods by ensuring the seamless functioning of all packaging and labeling machinery safely.
Shift schedule 7a-330p, Monday through Friday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Comply and enforce all company and department specific quality, safety, SQF and GMP policies and procedures.
· Responsible to assist with machine start-ups and change-overs.
· Inspects the machinery to ensure safe and proper functionality.
· Troubleshoot and conduct regular repair, service and maintenance activities on manufacturing machinery.
· Reports damages and other malfunctions to the Doboy Tech Lead.
· Obtains feedback from the production department regarding the functioning of the machinery.
· Coordinates maintenance processes with the production department in a way which the production output and packaging is least affected.
· Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
· Keeps inventory/tracks use of materials and reports to Lead when items are needed.
· Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
· Responsible for investigating and communicating actual or potential food safety issues pertaining to the building, equipment or grounds around the plant.
· Conduct basic facility maintenance.
· Performs other work assignments as directed.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience: 2 plus years of experience
Computer Skills: Familiar with basic computer programs.
Certifications & Licenses: Valid Driver's License.
Other Requirements: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
