POSITION:
- Temporary Student Advocate & Behavior Management Coordinator (Gervais Elementary School/Gervais High School)
- This is a new, grant funded position which will include:
- Providing substance abuse awareness and prevention education within the school district and surrounding community.
- Working with district staff to provide or connect substance at-risk students and families with resources.
- The district is working to secure additional funding to make this a permanent position.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- January 2025 – June 12, 2025
- 75 - 7.5 hours per day (depending on applicant interest and availability) .5 FTE – 1.0 FTE
SALARY:
- $21.53- $28.43 per hour depending upon experience
STARTING DATE:
- January 2025
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree, 72 quarters (48 semester) hours of post-secondary coursework or High School Diploma or equivalent and pass a rigorous local assessment.
- Computer entry experience.
- Ability to operate standard office machines, including, computer, calculator, copy machine, and fax.
- Ability to comply with established policies or procedures necessary to complete job functions, with limited supervision.
- Exercise diplomacy and tact when dealing with staff and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Respect confidential information.
- Evidence of good leadership and citizenship qualities.
- An interest in students.
- Ability to communicate well with adults and children.
- Prior job-related experience required.
- Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license.
- Have a First Aid card, as requested by supervisor; and
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications, as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
