Environmental project manager responsible for conducting asbestos surveys, assisting with the management of asbestos abatement projects and consulting on various environmental and remediation projects with a wide range of clients, including disaster restoration companies, property managers, insurance adjusters, housing authorities, building contractors and homeowners.
Responsibilities
· Main responsibility will be conducting asbestos surveys of residential and commercial buildings, generally for disaster restoration projects.
· Conduct other hazardous material surveys such as mold, indoor air, lead paint, etc.
· Assist with management of asbestos abatement projects.
· Survey report and project proposal preparation.
· Work with a wide range of clients as noted above.
· Daily travel to multiple jobs sites and analytical laboratory in company vehicle.
· This is a full-time position, days and hours of work may be dependent on client schedules and evening and weekend work may be required.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience conducting asbestos surveys.
· MA Asbestos Inspector license. RI and NH Asbestos Inspector licenses and other MA asbestos licenses (Designer, Management Planner, Project Monitor & Supervisor) a plus.
· Environmental science background, BS in science or related field a plus.
· Knowledge of disaster restoration and insurance industries a plus.
· Knowledge of asbestos abatement and project management a plus.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, DocuSketch and CAD a plus
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
· Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites throughout MA, RI and NH.
· This position is active and requires standing, walking, driving and lifting and/or move items that weigh more than 25 pounds and use of personal protective equipment.
