Base Salary Range: $60k-$80k DOE
Commission Potential $40k-$80k
OVERVIEW:
The Customer Finance Manager works closely with both the Sales Team and customers to help drive new and used heavy construction and aggregate equipment sales while ensuring the customer has a smooth finance experience by being involved from the beginning of a contract to the end. The Customer Finance Manager will be responsible for offering financing options to our customers and Sales Team that facilitates the sale of equipment, results in timely payment, and earns income for GES. This person will also build relationships with various lending partners and seek out best options to help our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain positive relationships and provide excellent customer service with Sales Team, customers, and lending partners.
- Communicate with Sales Team and/or directly with the customers to understand the customer’s business needs and provide them with finance options and structures that suit them best.
- Understand manufacturer and lending partners’ finance and incentive programs and clearly communicate them to the Sales Team and to customers through marketing efforts.
- Earn additional revenue for the company through fee income and doc fees to an acceptable level as determined by ownership.
- Gather customer credit applications, request additional financial information as requested by lenders, and advise them on the best solutions for their situation.
- Submit the finance requests to lender(s) and provide additional information as requested by lender(s) to help them better understand the customer’s business to obtain credit approval.
- Review documents for accuracy from lender and provide to customer for signature and then submit to lender for funding. Explain the APR, finance charge, total sale price, and other required disclosures on the contract and ensure the customer understands every detail of what they are agreeing to.
- Work with marketing on a regular basis to ensure that available programs are promoted via social media and our company website.
- Abide by all confidentiality policies and procedures set forth by the company and follow and maintain all financial rules and regulations. Trust and integrity are crucial with both customers and ownership.
- Review any delays in funding to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Vet potential new lenders to provide additional financing options for our customers.
- Provide training to new sales team members as needed regarding finance products, processes, and programs.
- Work with the Sales & Finance Assistant to monitor and complete all finance opportunities through Skynet and ensure finance quote requests, buyout requests, UCC-1 searches and releases, and finance document requests are done in a timely manner.
- Participate in Sales Management L10 meetings.
- Participate in Credit L10 meetings and assist with tough customer credit situations as requested.
- Participate in Sales Meetings which may include presenting about equipment financing options for our various product lines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field preferred; and/or minimum 3 – 5 years in a related role (construction equipment dealership industry preferred).
- Must maintain a professional appearance and high ethical standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex programs to buyers.
- Knowledge of financial compliance requirements.
- Strong mathematical and finance skills and strong attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to help customers find the best rate.
- Willing to travel to US and Canada to work with Sales Team and customers throughout our territories.
