Key Responsibilities
- Supervise home visitors to ensure adherence to Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing requirements, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Develop a professional learning program designed to address the needs of teachers, home visitors, and parents, incorporating a coaching component.
- Collaborate with health, mental health, nutrition, and family engagement teams for a comprehensive approach to child growth and development.
- Maintain thorough data and record-keeping systems to support ongoing improvements.
- Engage extensively with children, staff, parents, and the broader community to foster success in this role.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- In-depth understanding of IDEA and the 504 Rehabilitation Act.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with experience in professional development and training.
- Proficiency in computer hardware and software for effective record-keeping, reporting, and presentations.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, demonstrating empathy and leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of teaching and supervisory experience in a similar position.
