Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic and interactive instruction in a remote educational setting.
- Develop and distribute course materials and syllabi consistent with established academic guidelines.
- Encourage stimulating class discussions, nurture a supportive learning environment, and evaluate student progress.
- Efficiently utilize technological tools to enhance both learning and communication.
- Manage the submission of assignments and assessments via the designated learning management system.
- Maintain regular office hours to offer support and guidance to students.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to ensure a consistent and excellent educational experience for students.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage students.
- Proficiency in using technology tools for instructional and communication purposes.
- Capacity to lead meaningful class discussions and cultivate a nurturing academic atmosphere.
- Strong organizational abilities to prepare course materials and manage assessments.
- A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline or sub-field of study pertaining to the courses you wish to teach.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related cognate field with:
- A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours specific to the discipline.
- Or, a minimum of 6 graduate credit hours specific to the discipline combined with substantial teaching experience.
- At least two years or four academic terms of teaching experience in the relevant discipline at the collegiate level or in equivalent Advanced Placement courses.
- Alternatively, five years of discipline-specific teaching experience at the secondary level (grades 7-12) with a valid professional teaching license recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
